Padang Padang Bali
 So good they named it twice! Padang Padang breaks properly only when its 5-8ft and when it does pro's and locals come out of the woodwork along with the travelling surfers to form a crowd resembles a football scrum! This lefthander is very hollow and powerful and has appeared on numerous surf videos. Its an intense wave with an intense crowd. However, you can surf it when its smaller, as small as 3ft, with only a handful of guys out and it is very enjoyable surf although its not the real deal.
We recommend you hire a motorbike or a bemo at the bridge at Padang Padang to give you access to nearby spots like Uluwatu, Bingin, Dreamland and Balangan. Surf is best on the west side of the Bukit in the dry season from May to September. Through the rest of the year you can surf all those right handers on the east side of the Bukit. Staying in Bali can be as cheap as only $2 a night but a dream surf Uluwatu villa will cost you loads more.
