Whale Beach Sydney Australia
Whale beach is far up the Northern Beaches trail and what you'll really want to be surfing is the Wedge at the northern end of Whale Beach. This beach break has waves to choose from all up and down its sands and it can get a little too crowded on certain days. Swell is best from the North East and winds from NW-NE. While you're surfing here you'll probably bump into the likes of Barton Lynch or Tom Carrol. Nip round the corner to visit the on-location set of Aussie drama series “Home and Away“.

While you are in the Northern Beaches of Sydney you should consider surfing Avalon Beach, Newport beach or Dee Why. Alternatively, you can fly out from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport and take a flight up to the Gold Coast to surf the legendary Superbank or over to Perth in West Australia to have a crack at some heavier waves like Margaret River.
