Bells Beach Australia Surf Travel Guide

Bells Beach Australia

Bells Beach, AustraliaBells Beach is situated in the Torquay area of Victoria, about 1-2 drive from Melbourne. Open to the great southern ocean swells, this versitile surf break is famous all over the world for its perfect big walls that come marching in to Bells Beach.

Bells will pick up almost any swell and produce long, powerful open walls that go for 150m all the way into the beach. The world's best pro surfers come to surf here every April for the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach and usually score sick waves.

While you are in Australia you should consider travelling up to New South Wales to Byron Bay for a surf at The Pass, or Lennox Head and the legenary Superbank in Queensland. Alternatively you can fly out from Melbourne to Perth in West Australia to have a crack at Margaret River.
