Angourie Point Australia Surf Travel Guide

Angourie Point Australia

Angourie is a bowly righthand pointbreak that has a special place in Australian surfing. Surfers are willing to make the drive from all over the country to surf this place when the place is on. Angourie sits a short 10 minute drive from Yamba and the wave itself bends around the headland to create perfect, rolling bowly rights. This is a natural foot's dream. The best time to surf Angourie when the waves are 4-6ft, winds from the SW/W and low-mid tides.

While you are in the area you should consider travelling up to Coolangatta to surf the Superbank, or a little further south to Lennox Head. Alternatively, you can fly out from Coolangatta and taking a flight down to Melbourne to surf Bells Beach or over to Perth in West Australia to have a crack at Margaret River.
